✍️ Artist’s Note

In this piece, love is portrayed as a journey
from awkwardness to maturity.

It passes through carefulness, shyness,
push and pull, harmony, obsession, and conflict,
and eventually transforms into a gentle sense of letting go,
infused with playful humor.

The overall mood of the piece is dreamy and languid,
with a sticky, slowly flowing rhythm.

It reflects a state of eternal drifting,
wanting to move forward yet unable to move,
wanting to reach out yet unable to touch.
It asks quietly:
is this not the true nature of love?

This track was originally released in 2018
as a digital single featuring
Korea’s renowned soul vocalist Lee Ji-young of Big Mama.
It has now been re-recorded in a piano-only version.
