Hwaeom Residency "Self-evidence"(自明)

: Join project “Self-evidence,” created by the 20 superb artists from eight countries

 

Newly launched this year, 'Hwaeom Residency' invited 20 artists from Korea, USA, UK, Cape Verde, Bulgaria, Lebanon, Morocco, and Japan, and provides space for creative activities through lively discussion and interaction while staying at Hwaeomsa Temple. Composer Rolf Hind, Recorder player Erik Bosgraaf, who presented impressive performance at the 2016 Hwaeom Spiritual Music Ritual, Jennifer Dautermann, Director of Classical:NEXT, and Director Won Il lead the residency as mentors. Their joint creative project 'Self-evidence' will provide special experience for the artists as well as the audiences.

 

 

SOUM music's Healing pianist Sooji Jung was selected to Hwaeom Residency and stayed in Hwaeomsa for 9/10 ~ 15 days and had a meaningful time.
